Tracy Burris

Tracy-Burris.jpgTracy Burris for more than a decade, Tracy Burris has been honored to participate in the success of Indian gaming both nationally and locally through his service with the National Indian Gaming Association (NIGA) and the Oklahoma Indian Gaming Association (OIGA).

Mr. Burris has served on the NIGA Executive Committee since 1995 and served as its Treasurer from 2006 to 2008. He also was a longtime board member of the OIGA,

as well as its Vice-chairman (1995-1996), Chairman (1996-2003), and Executive Delegate-at-Large (2003 to 2007). 

Along with his dedication to NIGA and OIGA, Mr. Burris currently is a board member for the National Tribal Gaming Commissioners/Regulators Association and gaming advisor to the State of Oklahoma Indian Affairs Commission. He also served on the first and third National Indian Gaming Commission’s MICS advisory committees.

Mr. Burris has spoken on numerous panels nationwide addressing gaming regulation and the industry. He also has provided testimony on gaming issues to the Senate Committee on Indians affairs on several occasions.

Mr. Burris was the Gaming Commissioner for the Chickasaw Nation for 15 years before joining the Viejas Gaming Commission in July 2008. 

Mr. Burris holds a B.S. in Geography from Oklahoma State University.
